Three months in Nepal: Football and Picnic

Before I headed off for my two week Trek , we had a day out at the park. The kids don't get to do any exercise as the space outside of their home is concrete and only about 1x3m wide. So we got some footballs and tennis/badminton rackets and headed to the park. Normally it should take about 45mins to walk there but my wee trooper Sajan who has cerebral palsy found it hard going and so it took approx. 1.5hrs . You can tell Kathmandu is pretty well built up if it takes 45mins to walk to a green area ...
The kids could run around and climb trees and unfortunately we could only stay about 2.5hrs before we had to walk back. After about 40mins of up and down a rough pathway poor wee Sajan could hardly stand up , so I grabbed a taxi and 5 of us jumped in . I think it was the highlight of their day ...they hadn't ever been in a car before !
Here are a couple of photos of our little hike. Off to Everest Base Camp tomorrow , so will be out of contact for the next couple of weeks. See you with some mountain photos then !
